As soon as November rolls around I start thinking of my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. My family always gets together at my parent’s house and Erik and I make the turkey. We get over there super early…seriously, at 7am, so that we can prep the turkey and get it in the oven.  The rest of the day is spent cooking, eating and spending time with family.

Before the big meal, we drink mimosas and eat lots of appetizers. I love Thanksgiving appetizers almost as much as the turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. My sister, Kat and I have the rest of the family beat for how much we can eat. We’re both always full before turkey is even served.

Here are some tasty looking appetizers that would be great for the pre-Thanksgiving meal:

Spinach, bacon and onion dip
Cheddar biscuits with pecans
Baked brie with pecans
Cheese straws
Blue cheese and walnut spread
Ham and gruyere thumbprints
