You may have noticed that Eat Drink Pretty has a brand new look. The new site launched on Tuesday and while I am still working through some kinks and updates to finalize everything, the new look is here and pretty much ready to go. I worked with the ladies at Wooden Spoons Kitchen to create a totally new design and site layout. We moved the old blogger site onto WordPress and gave it a big face lift. This feels so much more like Eat Drink Pretty should look; clean, bright, airy, feminine, lovely.
I truly love it and am so thankful to Melissa and Erin for taking my vision and bringing it to life in this beautiful new look.
Well….because I am going to have the entire week off while I have a little break between jobs.
Yup, tomorrow is my very last day at Martin Williams, the advertising agency I spent the last 10 years of my life at. The agency I started at when I was a mere 24 years old. The agency I learned so much, worked with awesome clients and formed big and meaningful friendships with really amazing people. The agency where I have a beautiful office overlooking the Mississippi River and with a bar on my floor with a free-flowing beer tap at all times. The agency with the epic holiday parties and a great, creative energy. It’s going to be a tough day, a sad day tomorrow. Cleaning out my office has been surreal and I can’t imagine what it will feel like walking through the doors for the last time.
With all that being said, I am determined to embrace the change that a new job brings. I am ready for a new adventure, ready to be reinvigorated. I’m leaving the ad agency world to check out what life is like on the client-side. I’ll talk more about my new gig once I am settled and get a better feel if it’s appropriate to mention the company and what I’ll be doing on the ol’ blog.
Next week on my time off I plan to meet up with friends, bake and blog a lot, spend lots of time with my Juliet and enjoy the summer-like weather. This will be the first time I’ve had time off without having work email to check and work projects on my mind. I am really looking forward to it.
So that’s my big news. It was a big week with the new site launch and all my last day approaching.
Change is good.
